Smile I did it!

I have reached my weight loss goal. I have lost 39 + pounds since I changed my diet in April. For me it's been all about getting my eating under control. While I don't do 100% WHFN workouts, I do credit WHFN/BBH for the inspiration it took for me to do this. Maintaining exercise has never been a problem for me- I have been hooked since trying out The Firm vol 1 sometimes in 1996. I got to the point where I wanted to lose weight so I could SEE my results!!

I went into this planning for a life-long change, not to "go on a diet." A coworker asked if I was interested in joining Weight Watchers and we both joined in April. I have been following the Weight Watchers core plan - whole grains, lean meats, fruits, veges, etc., and am counting points now too for maintenance. I feel like I have learned a lot and like this is definitely a way of life I can continue. I admire people who do this on their own, but I really need the accountability of having to go weigh in every week.

My biggest changes: I stopped buying a mocha every morning. I stopped putting half and half in my coffee. I eat a lot less bread, cheese, and sweets. I was eating too many nuts, and now I don't eat them anymore either! I write down everything that that goes into my mouth.

SMART WOMAN! No wonder you are a success.

You will be just as successful at keeping the weight off, too.

BTW, diets don't work for me. I kept my weight at ideal by changing how I thought about food and how I eat, not dieting.

Lori - Congratulations! What an inspiration.
You gave me a good tip. I rely too heavily on nuts for quick, easy protein. I better watch it.

I just figured this out for myself this weekend.

Congrats Lori!
